Comedy fans got more than a pleasant surprise last night (Feb. 26) when Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle appeared on stage together at the Comedy Cellar in New York City.

Toward the tail-end of Chappelle’s 45-minute set, Rock accompanied the perpetually baked comic on stage. For about an hour, the dynamic duo shot the breeze about everyone from Seth MacFarlane to Jay-Z (Rock texted him) to Kevin Hart and, at one point, dropped voicemail messages for Arsenio Hall and Lenny Kravitz.

Hail, hail, the Grown Ups gang’s all here. Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and the rest of the crew are hard at work on a sequel to the immensely successful comedy. Grown Ups 2 will be in theaters this summer, with original director Dennis Dugan (Jack & Jill, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan) back behind the lens.

Chris Rock back in 'Mother.... With the Hat' at L.A. Theatre Works

Chris Rock will reprise his Broadway debut role in Stephen Adly Guirgis' "The Mother.... With the Hat" for six performances at L.A. Theatre Works, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. The production will be a radio theater staging recorded in front of live audiences for later broadcast.

Rock will join other members of the original Broadway cast, including Bobby Cannavale and Elizabeth Rodriguez. Guirgis wrote the comedy about a former drug dealer (Cannavale) who learns to re-adjust to life outside of prison with the help of a counselor (Rock).

Spike TV announces lineup for the iconic comedian's upcoming tribute special

Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Arsenio Hall and Tracy Morgan are just a few of the big names slated to pay homage to iconic comedian Eddie Murphy on an upcoming Spike TV special.

Titled, "Eddie Murphy: One Night Only," the tribute will be shot and aired in November, the network announced. It is also the first televised salute to the 51-year-old star best known for his stint on "Saturday Night Live" and for flicks such as "Beverly Hills Cop," "Trading Places" and "Coming to America."

'Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell' Renewed by FX for Second Cycle

NEW YORK, September 18, 2012 – FX has ordered the second cycle of its first year late night comedy series Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell for seven half-hour installments, announced Nick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, FX.

Totally Biased will conclude its six-episode first cycle this Thursday, September 20 at 11:00 PM, and the second cycle of shows will begin on Thursday, October 11 in a new 11:30 PM time period, following the return of BrandX with Russell Brand that night at 11:00 PM.
