FX Orders Late-Night Series from EP Chris Rock

FX is beefing up its commitment to late night. The cable network announced Wednesday that it's ordered six episodes of a new late-night series from executive producer Chris Rock.

The untitled project, starring political comic W. Kamau Bell, will premiere in the summer as a weekly half-hour series that will focus on politics, pop culture, race, religion, media and sex.

Chris Rock to Induct the RHCP Into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced the presenters for this year's induction ceremony: Chuck D will induct the Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp will induct Donovan, Steve Van Zandt will induct the Small Faces/Faces, Chris Rock will induct the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bette Midler will induct Laura Nyro, Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill from ZZ Top will induct Freddie King and Carole King will induct Don Kirshner. They have yet to announce who will induct Guns N' Roses.

Oscars 2012: Chris Rock Added to List of Presenters

Rock joins previously announced presenters Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez to appear at the awards ceremony Feb. 26.

Brian Grazer and Don Mischer, producers of the 84th Academy Awards telecast, announced today that Chris Rock will be a presenter at the ceremony.

Rock joins Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez and the cast of Bridesmaids as a presenter in the ceremony, which is being held Feb. 26. Rock hosted the Academy Awards telecast in 2005 to minor controversy, making fun of the ceremony and sending up Hollywood.

Magnolia Buying Spree Continues With '2 Days in New York'

Magnolia Pictures has bought North American rights to Julie Delpy's 2 Days in New York, the company announced Saturday.

The film, a follow up to Delpy's 2 Days in Paris, stars Delpy, Chris Rock and Delpy’s father Albert Delpy. Christophe Mazodier produced. A family comedy set in the art world, 2 Days in New York will be released via Magnolia's Ultra VOD program later this year, with what the company says will be a "robust" theatrical release in major markets.

2 Days in New York Sundance Premiere

2 Days in New York directed by Julie Delpy is a Gotham-set sequel of sorts to "2 Days in Paris," starring Delpy, Chris Rock, Albert Delpy, Alexia Landeau and Alex Nahon and will premiere at the 2012 Sundance Festival.
